Spring Cleaning Week One!

Emily | 0 Comments

Well, for an entire week I have been busy learning about keeping your home healthy…then took a few days off for some much needed family time! Now let’s get ready to start cleaning!!!!!

Let’s start with the bathroom.  You wouldn’t believe how many germs (that make you sick) are lingering in there! Before we start our cleaning let’s start going thru our bathroom medicine cabinets/vanities  and getting rid of any and all items that we don’t use or are expired (medicine, cream, razors, makeup, sponges, etc.).  If you have a shower curtain/liner either wash or get a new one. The same for shower mats (tons if nasty stuff lives here)!

Next let’s start scrubbing the shower/tub. Now I don’t like those harsh chemicals so you can mix hydrogen peroxide and baking soda/water and vinegar in a spray bottle and spray all over and let sit. Clean your toilets, sinks, mirrors, inside drawers, medicine cabinets, window sills (don’t forget the handles and knobs) then lastly move on to your shower. Now if you have allergies to mold and you see some in you bathing area wear a mask. Even the smallest amount will get into the air and land in other areas and start multiplying! Wipe down with a damp cloth and either rinse or use multiple one pieces as to not spread any around.

Lastly vacuum and mop or steam the floor. Every bathroom varies so of course look around and see if you missed a spot!

Don’t forget to visit our FaceBook page for more updates and special news we have going on!

Pirate, Huts and Boats…ohhh my!

How amazing are these beds?  One of the reasons I love to design a nursery and children rooms is because in addition to making a safe room beautiful, I can create a space that nurtures creativity and helps encourage fun and imaginative far off lands!

How fun is it to go to your room and pretend you are fishing on a boat, fighting off Captain Hook or stranded on a far off island surrounded by clear waters and coconut trees, lol

These are the types of things that a creative room design can inspire.  But be careful, when you send your little one to their room they might get really excited!

If you would like to see more custom made beds, get a quote or have a bed designed just for you, just give us a call.  We would love to help transform your little one’s space into a far off land!

Best,

Emily
